Help socio-economically disadvantaged Afghan-Americans
transition to a successful life in US
Most refugees arrive with little more than hope, facing financial struggles, emotional trauma, and a lack of guidance. The weight of these challenges can often lead to setbacks. However, with the right support, they can rise above their circumstances. Our organization exists to provide that lifeline, offering financial aid, emotional health services, and mentorship specifically for Afghan-American refugees facing socio-economic challenges.
We use a random selection process to identify potential recipients of our grants and assistance. After selection, we ensure that each individual meets our criteria for socioeconomic disadvantage and verify that all candidates provide proof of being born in Afghanistan or having Afghan parentage. This approach enables us to direct our resources to those in genuine need, particularly because situational and environmental challenges may hinder performance and thereby limit access to merit-based scholarships.
In addition to our support services, we host an annual Nowruz party in Tampa to foster networking opportunities and enhance a sense of community support among Afghan-Americans. This event not only brings families together but also raises awareness and funds to further our mission.
Your donation plays a crucial role in this work, enabling us to provide vital financial assistance and support services. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those striving for a better future.
